Members of the committee have used knowledge and experience acquired from teaching in schools and colleges along with their many years of tatting to compile this DVD. It is aimed at absolute beginners and covers the basic techniques. The student is shown slowly, step by step, how tatting ‘works’ and included are the instructions for how to make a simple edging. It also explains how to follow a tatting pattern. This makes a great gift for the interested friend, or family member that you just haven't got round to teaching how to tat. Add two balls of size 10 thread (in contrasting colours) and a shuttle and it will be a perfect Birthday or Christmas present. 30th Anniversary Book of Patterns Thirty Ring of Tatters members from around the world were invited to contribute patterns to this book. None of the patterns have previously been printed in our newsletter, although some have been taught by their creators at workshops. It is in A5 format, with a spiral binding so that it lies flat. Most patterns have diagrams as well as written instructions, and pictures in colour. The tatting skills required to work the designs vary; a number are suitable for the less experienced tatter but others require knowledge of more advanced techniques. Pattern ClubPattern Club - UK only £9.50 (monthly July 2013 - June 2014) Pattern Club - International £9.50 (July 2012 - June 2013) * note these are LAST YEAR's Pattern Club - the 2013-2014 annual pack will be available in July 2014 |
Pattern Club This was set up in July 2009 to provide something for those members who do not use a computer and may miss out on free patterns and new tatting techniques provided on the internet, and may not have access to a local tatting group. However, many computer-using members wanted to join in too! It is so nice to have a tatting goody come through the letterbox each month! For an annual fee you receive one pattern a month sent by snail mail. The patterns require knowledge of basic tatting techniques, but if there is anything more challenging the instructions are included with the pattern. The patterns are designed specifically for the Pattern Club and will not appear in the Newsletter or on the Website. Due to international postage costs, the monthly option is only available to UK members. However, because of demand we have opened it up to international members as an annual package. If you are a member living outside the UK, you can receive the previous year's 12 patterns sent out together as one mailing. Please make sure you select the correct area of the world - incorrect payments requiring refunds cost us! Thank you. | |||
