| An unusual event for the Pompey Tatters - they were
invited to display their tatting at the 25th Anniversary
Celebration of the International Guild of Knot Tyers, held
from the 24th to 26th May at the Fernham Hall, Fareham.
There were displays of other knotting crafts too, such as
macrame and fly-tying. Also a display of lace and a
demonstration of spinning. |

This is part of the display from the West Country knotters.
To find out more about the group and knot tying in general,
visit the IGKT website.
It is quite interesting to see the wide range of items they
make, from earrings (like us) to bags, to chunky nautical
gear. |

| One visitor to Fareham, Lily Morales, had come all the way
from California! Lily's name is familiar to many tatters
around the world through her participation in email lists
and Georgia's online tatting classes. At the Show she
displayed both tatting and knots. See her
website
for some unusual patterns. |
