Wind the shuttles fully
Round 1 - the centre `flowers`
With Shuttle 1:
Sm R 5, (p, 2) x 6, p,
5 cl (7 picots)
L R 7, (p, 2) x 8, p,
7 cl (9 picots)
*Sm R 5, + to last p on previous Sm R,
(2, p) x 6, 5 cl
L R 7, + to last p on previous L R (2, p)
x 8 **
Repeat from * to ** four times REMEMBERING TO JOIN THE SIXTH
RINGS TO THE FIRST RINGS AT THE LAST / FIRST PICOTS.
This forms a 3d flower.
DO NOT CUT THE THREAD.
With shuttle 2 make a second flower the same as the
first.
Round 2 To enclose the mirrors / large sequin:
Without cutting the thread and using one of the shuttles as a
`ball` position the `flowers` back to back and make a join into
the 1st / last picots on the nearest larger rings going through
both `flowers` thus joining them together.
CH 5, p, 5, ↓ to 1st / last picots between next
large rings; continue round the `flowers`, shuttle joining them
together, but when half way round insert the mirrors, back to
back, (or the sequin) and then complete the round joining for a
second time into the first join. DO NOT CUT THE THREAD.
Round 3
SR 8 / 8 cl
do not reverse work.
CH 8 RW
R 8 + to picot on next chain on previous round,
8 cl RW
CH (3, join in a sequin) x 3, (1, join in a
sequin) x 2, (3, join in a sequin) x 2, 3, RW
R 8 + to same picot as last ring,
8 cl RW
CH 8 RW
R 8 + to small space above shuttle joins on
last round, 8 cl RW
CH 8 RW
R 8 + to picot on next chain of previous
round, 8 cl RW
CH (3, join in a bead) x3, (1, join in a bead)
x 2, (3, join in a bead) x 2, 3, RW
R 8 + to same picot as last ring,
8 cl RW
Continue the round adding sequins and beads on alternate long
chains.
Cut and secure the ends after the 6th long chain.
Block in shape and stiffen.
This can also be worked with sequins on all the long
chains.
