Materials required

No. 20 Crochet cotton,  1 shuttle,  small beads,  small plastic (or brass) ½” ring.  (I used plastic Austrian/festoon blind rings which measure ½” in diameter and cost VERY little!)

Method

Add 30 beads to the shuttle thread & 30 beads to chain thread before starting.  Also further beads are needed for adding to picots.

R1:       4 +(RG) 2 – 2

R2:       2 +(R1) 2 +(RG) 4

Ch:       6 – 4

*Move 4 beads on to back of hand before starting next ring

R3:       4 (4 beads leaving small space for joining btwn each bead) 4

Ch:       4 B 4

R4:       4 +(R3 space btwn last 2 beads on R3) 4

Ch:       6 ^BBB_B 6

R5:       4 +(R3 space btwn next 2 beads on R3) 4

Ch:       4 B 4

R6:       4 +(R3 space btwn 1^st 2 beads on R3) 4

Ch:       4 – 6

R7:       4 +(RG) 2 – 2

R8:       2 +(R7) 2 +(RG) 4

Ch:       6 +B(last Ch) 4

Repeat from * 5 times (6 points) joining last Ch to first Ch with a B.  T & C to base of R1
