There is always some exciting tatting to be seen and learnt
about at the Southern Tatters annual tatting day! Sylvia
McDavitt, organiser of the Hurstpierpoint Group writes:
"Tatters from several areas of the South of England gathered
at Haywards Heath in West Sussex on 8th April 2006. They brought
a wide variety of tatting to show and attractive cards for the
competition. The Cuckfield Group displayed samples of Repeat
Patterns, some using split rings, and motifs in different
shapes.
Ruth Baker gave a demonstration and workshop on Celtic work.
Some of the samples were made by Pam McLeod from Yorkshire. By
the end of the day a number of Celtic patterns had been
completed."
