A wonderful mystery and a source of beautiful designs in its celebration.

This is a mixed media picture. The central section is tatting: radiating spirals were created from 2 chains twisted together (consisting of a chain of 2nd half ds, then an ordinary short chain, repeated).

The different medallions and all the linking rounds are needlelace. Then there is a repeat of the tatted spirals. The next to the last chain-link round is bobbin lace.
