The subject of the competition was Basic Tatting. The requirements were:

• A piece of tatting no larger than 14.8 x 21 cm (5.5 x 8 in) to fit an A5 envelope.
• The tatting must be of plain rings, chains and small picots, in one colour, unmounted and flat.

And here are the entries! Rather few in number this year, unfortunately, but perhaps you will all be inspired by next year's competition. The entries were each given a lettered tag to preserve anonymity. The Ring of Tatters committee then judged each one and gave it marks on several criteria. The winner was the one with the highest total score.
